April 30 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian pawnshop chain operator Sofia Commerce-Pawn Brokerage [BUL:SCOM] said that its non-consolidated net profit increased to some 1.16 million levs ($635,801/593,096 euro) in the first quarter of 2024 from 930,000 levs in the like period of last year.
The company’s overall revenue grew by 15% year-on-year to 2.59 million levs in January-March, Sofia Commerce-Pawn Brokerage said in an interim financial statement on Monday.
At the same time, operating expenses widened to some 1.31 million levs from 1.22 million levs, mostly on the back of higher remuneration costs.
Last month, the company said it is exiting the North Macedonian market due to regulatory changes.
As of 1345 CEST on Tuesday, shares in Sofia Commerce-Pawn Brokerage traded 1.08% higher at 3.74 levs on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange.
